Welcome Back Winesday

I will start this post by introducing my favorite day of the week; "Winesday", Wednesday, or as many like to call it "Hump Day". Personally, Wednesdays remind me that the week is coming to a close, yet there is still time to squeeze in whatever you need to do before COB Friday.

Most importantly, Wednesday presents the perfect day to kick back, crack open a box of wine, and enjoy mid-week. I felt it necessary to give a special shout out to an often over-looked, often looked-down upon form of wine, the kind that comes out of a box.

That's right, today, I give my respect to all of those to have ever bought, enjoyed, or shamefully admitted to loving box wine. For those of you who are not familiar with Kathy Griffin's wonderfully charming mother, Maggie, it is time to get acquainted (Kathy is a comedian, My Life on the D-List).She has written a book all about her various box wine favorites, and is seen constantly holding a glass of chardonnay in hand. For all that she has done to promote the art of box wine, I thank you Maggie!

Now, I understand all of those who may or may not think Kathy is funny, and I can respect that. However, let us put aside differences and honor today's Winesday, which is about giving some much needed respect to a kind of wine that is cheap, easy to open, and usually delicious (after copious amounts).
